No Longer Addicted! {To Caffeine}

Yeap! Your read that right! I have kicked my caffeine habit! And going on 2 weeks strong! :)

For people who know me, I LOVED Mt. Dew! {well still love} But I haven't had a drop of soda in over 2 weeks. I can't say that I don't consume caffeine because I still drink sweet tea and green tea BUT I no longer NEED caffeine like I did 2 weeks ago. I would get horrible caffeine headaches and would be forced to take in a ton of caffeine {always soda} just to get them to go away. That was until my dear friend told me I should read this book...

And wow! I finally realized what I have been doing to my poor body. As my friend said, it's like getting hit by a mac truck, it is a complete eye opener. Granted, I don't follow everything to a T but I'm trying my best to cut out what is bad for me {and for you!}. Yes, I am trying to lose some weight and I am doing it the healthy way. Not a diet but definitely a life style change. Drinking more water, eating whole grains, and lots upon lots of raw fruits and veggies! It seems to be working so far! In the book though, be warned... they say you shouldn't eat any meat or dairy... So they want you to be a vegan... And there are some graphic stories of the animals in slaughter houses. Disgusting. But I haven't quite cut that out yet. Sorry, but I LOVE chicken... and I LOVE LOVE LOVE cheese! I'm just trying to include more veggies and fruit in my diet in replace of the meat and cheese. Everything is good in moderation as they say... right?

I can say so far I have lost a few pounds just by looking {I don't have a scale at my house so I don't know exactly how much} But I'll let you know my progress along the way!

May not hear from me tomorrow; have a wedding rehearsal tonight and then tomorrow I took the day off for my dear friend's wedding. {Jaired & Lydia} Zoie is their flower girl and I'm one of the bridesmaids! WOO HOO! So not only do I have to get myself ready and looking beautiful, I have to get Zo ready too! Wish me luck! lol

Good for you girl!! Might have to pick up that book after I have this baby. I do love soda, but yeah it's not good for you at all. And I'm with you on the chicken thing, I love chiken, I don't think I could go without it. Keep it up!!
