TGIF!
I can not wait for 5pm to roll around...
- Because work is extremely boring today with hardly anything to do.
- I get to have a mini "vacation" this weekend!
My mom {love that woman!} this summer is a camp director for a girl scout camp down in Southern Illinois for SIX weeks! She has never been away from home for that long, especially since she has had grandchildren to help us sisters take care of. Anywho, this weekend my sister, my two nieces, Zoie and I {and hopefully Glen too} will be taking a lil road trip to go see her. We leave Saturday morning and will be coming back on Sunday. Luckily, I won't be spending my entire weekend down there cause this weekend I do have a 3 day weekend with Monday being the 4th of July!
I know Zoie misses my mom terribly {and so do i!} So this trip will be well worth it just to get away from here, even if it's for a little more then 24 hours!
One thing though that I am kind of struggling with is the fact that Glen MIGHT not be going. First it was he wasn't going to go, then it was well let me see what's going on this weekend and if I can I will go and then Thursday morning it was "Okay, I will go." BUT THEN last night he mentions his mom needs him to help her put up some drywall tomorrow... Ugh.
Oh well, really not trying to make a big deal about it, I just really wanted him to go with us. It's definitely not the end of the world and maybe some time apart will be good, it will make me love him just that much more! I do see him EVERY night and he does drive all the way from Belleville {30-40 min drive} EVERY time. Sometimes I forget how far he has to drive just to come see us every night. And I am very grateful for him, he is the best to Zo and I. I really couldn't ask for more!
BLAH! A tad off subject. I am just really excited to get away, even if it is for a little bit! Plus I get to spend some quality time with Mom, Zo, one of my sisters, and my nieces! Although be warned, I will not be getting cell service while actually AT the camp. What will I do all weekend without my phone? hahahaha, I'm sure I'll be fine! ....at least I hope!
