Weekend Wrap up {Busy busy busy}

I had a very busy weekend! But unlike most people I know, I had ANOTHER 3 day weekend! {which turned into a 4 day weekend but I'll explain that part later} I asked off of work on Friday because I was a bridesmaid in a friends wedding and Zoie was their flower girl! So I was busy the majority of Friday with wedding stuff. Congrats to the newlyweds though! I couldn't be happier for them and they are some of my greatest friends! Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures... 1) Cause my camera battery was dead and 2) I had my phone off most of the day anyways... But as soon as I see some pictures on fb, I will definitely post some!

Lydia {the bride} looked gorgeous and us girls looked pretty smokin' too! haha. Everyone couldn't stop saying how adorable Zoie was, which she did amazing! She definitely makes a great flower girl and LOVED dancing at the reception. I had a really amazing time, wish I could have stayed at the reception longer, but mommy duty called. {Zo passed out on the way home.}

Saturday: Saturday was pretty uneventful... Zoie's grandma from Cali is in town visiting and PLUS my mom was home Saturday to see Rhonda (Zoie's grandma). Glen, Zo, and I ate lunch... Although I am having a really hard time remembering what we had... Oh wait! I know, we had Hardee's hand breaded chicken tenders - YUM! Anyways after lunch sometime Zo and I headed to my mom's to hang out and wait for Rhonda to get there. The plan was for Rhonda to pick up Zoie and have her stay the night with her in Springfield where she is staying at with her sister. We waited... And Rhonda came we all got to visit with her. Even got to watch Rhonda's daughter {Zoie's Aunt Em} live via web cam doing some barrel racing. {Here is a link to the youtube video of the race we watched. - You go girl!} They hung out for awhile before taking off. Then while I was still at my mom's we had pizza for supper and I headed home. I waited for Glen to come over and we relaxed the rest of the night.

Sunday: Still Zoie free, Glen and I had a great day! We ended up at the pool in Freeburg which just so happened to be FREE that day cause it was family day! WOO HOO, everything is better free. lol, his friend Mike and a gal he was talking to Julia came along too. Glen and Mike are crazy on the diving boards... Always giving me heart attacks... Guess that's just the mama in me. After swimming Glen and I went back to house and then got chinese food for the house. {His mom, sister, his friend Shawn, him and I} Oh yum! It definitely hit the spot! After dinner, we both headed back to my house and then came more relaxation and watching tv.

I was still Zoie free. While Zo spent the night with Rhonda so did Zo's dad, his gf, and Zo's baby sister, Zuri... Rhonda had to drop off Zo's dad, the gf, and baby off on Sunday and Rhonda had planned on taking Zo back with her to Springfield BUT Zo wanted to stay with her dad. Surprising... But whatever...

Monday: A work day. {sort of} Blah, I had a really hard time waking up on Monday... I just wanted to sleep and sleep and sleep... Well I got up and got ready for work anyways... Went to work. Apparently my hard drive on my pc over the weekend had crashed, lovely! That's definitely not a good thing since my computer holds ALL the important stuff and just our luck our backup system was NOT working... Ouch. Anyways, our tech guy came in, I did a little cleaning and then was sent home about 10:00... I called Chad {Zoie's dad} to see if he wanted me to pick up Zoie, he didn't answer. It wasn't until RIGHT when I was pulling into my drive way at home that he called back. He said go ahead and come pick her up since there really isn' much to do at his house. So I went to pick her up, we went to burger king JUST so she could play on the indoor playground but yet since there were no other kids there, she didn't want to play. Ha! After burger king we went home. Luckily Glen was off of work early too so he came over. :) Chad did say right when Zoie woke up on Monday that she was asking for her Grandma. So we called Rhonda and asked what the plan was. Since Zo was asking for her she was going to come pick her up and take her back to Springfield for a few days. No problem with me! Gives me a chance to get a break and I want Zo to spend time with her grandma.

Since Rhonda doesn't know where I live, we met at my mom's house. After Rhonda picked up Zo, Glen, my dad, and I went to go eat dinner at Bread Co. YUM YUM YUM! Glen even had me try a pumpkin muffin... to DIE FOR! Delicious. That's pretty much all I have to say about that. Well on the way to bread co. I had mentioned that Robert Wadlow {world's tallest man} was buried in the cemetery that we passed and that in Alton there is a life size statue of him... Well my dad suggested after dinner that we go stop by the statue, so we did! This may shock a few people, even though I have lived in the area ALL my life, this was my FIRST time to the statue, and here is the picture of Glen and I in front of Robert Wadlow.

Photobucket
{This photo is also the first official photo of Glen and I together}
{The other "first photo" is of him and I on a 4 wheeler, but we are nothing but a blur}

After dinner with my dad, we headed back to my house. Oh before I forget, Monday was also Glen and I's 2nd month together! WOO HOO! After getting to my house we did some cleaning and once again relaxed and watched some TV! =)

Now, it's Tuesday and I am at work. A very boring day! Pretty much nothing to do since the boss is out of town and my computer has crashed... Oh well! Can't wait to go home and can't wait for the weekend again! =)

Yeah, it's pretty cool to have something of importance in the area... They say he would have kept growing if he didn't die... Craziness!

Be careful of his hoarding! Y'all may end up on that show "Hoarders" I know my mom should be sometimes, haha
