Weekend Wrap Up {3 days of fun!}

Okay... So I failed at updating my blog last night like I wanted but of course things were busy... So here goes nothing.

Once again I had a 3 day weekend! That's probably why I didn't post a "Art Feature Friday". Honestly, when I am home, I am not near my computer very often. I do have plenty of opportunity but I just choose not to take it. I am normally not on fb during the weekend, unless I check quickly on my phone, same thing about checking my email... I just usually check it on my phone.

Anywho, on Friday I didn't go to work because I had a doctors appointment. I decided I wanted to get my mirena removed. It was giving me nothing but issues! My nurse told me that they might as well get take it off the market because only a very small percentage actually keep it for a long period of time and it was no big deal. But of course my doctor had to be a douche! Giving me a hard time about it, well sorry dude, you don't know what it's like and you never could. So don't tell me I don't know my body and that I can't tell that the mirena was giving me awful headaches with nausea! And other things that would be TMI... I didn't let him bully me into changing my mind about the mirena, I knew what I wanted and I knew it was giving me all these symptoms.

Okay, enough about my doctor... After my doctors appointment, I went to pick Zo up at my mom's and we went home to chill. At least until 3:30... The fun of having a soon to be kindergartner is all the lovely exams and stuff they are required to have for school. Of course, I procrastinate and practically wait til the last minute to get these done. Zo needed an eye exam, dental exam, and a physical. Well at 3:30 Zo had an appointment at America's Best for her eye exam.

She did so good at the appointment and the doc said everything was good. :) After the appointment we went home. Glen cooked breakfast for dinner. YUM! And I am sure the rest of the night we just relaxed...

Saturday: I was up bright and early! Well because Lewis and Clark Community College was hosting their annual Free Clean & Screen... You could get your dental exams and physicals done for FREE! Of course it was first come first serve and the event started at 9... I knew I wanted to be there EARLY! Cause there was no way I would want to sit there all day! We were there by 8:20 and we were number 8 in line! Woo Hoo! {I seen in the paper that by 10:30 there were over 100 kids registered!} Zo was good here too! {please don't mind that in the pictures she is wearing the same outfit, she fell asleep in her clothes and I knew waking up really early it was a hell of a lot faster just to grab her and go rather then trying to get her slow poke butt redressed in the morning, haha. I promise we changed when we got home!} She got her physical done first {didn't get any pics of that} and then we were in the waiting room for less then 5 minutes before they called us to get her dental exam. The first step was for the dentist to see her and the dental assistant to take X-rays.

{Cheesin' as always}

After she seen the dentist it was off to the hygienist to get her teeth cleaned and "sealed".

After she was done with that, it was time to check out and get out of there! We were done before 11! :) I was so glad to get both those exams done quickly and for FREE! Can't beat free. While leaving the building I seen this sign in the parking lot....

Never seen one of those before... But I guess if you want to get a GOOD parking spot at Lewis and Clark... Get a hybrid vehicle! {It was right next to the handicap spots!}

After we were done we went home and just hung out... Later in the evening I made Zucchini bread. First time ever making a bread and it turned out great! :) The hardest part was grating the zucchini and that wasn't even hard! Just hard to try and keep it in one container without making a huge mess.

Sunday: Sunday was a great day! It started off with an awesome breakfast!!! Glen and I cooked bacon and eggs with some homemade gravy for biscuits! Mmmm mmmm mmmm!!! I was sooooo full after we were done! We rested for a lil bit and then headed towards Belleville to go swimming! We picked up Glen's friend Mike and headed to the Freeburg pool. Luckily for us to was family day and we all got in for free! I knew at the lake Zo and I went to when we visited my mom Zo was swimming without any floaties, so of course I was going to take advantage of that at the pool. My word, Zo did amazing! She was jumping in and just swimming. Swimming from the wall to me, me to the wall, jumping in and swimming to me... She even did a front flips into the DEEP end of the pool! {12 ft} It was so awesome and I was one proud mama! After swimming we went to Glen's mom's house and Glen made nachos. Yum yum! We were stuffed. By the time we got home it was about bed time {Zo was already sleeping}. So Glen and I relaxed and went to bed!

Oh! And some cool news. Zo was on the front page of the Telegraph on Sunday!

Of course, my dad went out and bought 4 copies! 2 for me and 2 for them! Craziness!

Well hope y'all have a good day!

That is so cool! I love the first photo. She looks so lost next to all that equipment...
