Weekend Wrap Up

Wow! This weekend was {mostly} awesome! The only down fall, was me coming down the the cold... I felt it Friday morning but I overloaded myself with vitamin C to make sure I wouldn't get hit with it full blast on Glen's birthday and the day after.

Friday: GLEN'S 26th BIRTHDAY! After I got off of work, I went to my parent's to pick up Zoie... Then, I headed home to get ready for our night out and to get Zo's clothes packed. Zoie was ready to get out of the door as soon as we got home, she was soooo excited to be able to stay the night with Avita and John {Glen's niece and nephew} Zo and I gave Glen his gift right when we got home... {Bag of jerky and a gift certificate to get an hour massage} Anywho, after getting ready and taking off... We took Zo to Glen's sisters and then headed to the mall to eat dinner at Olga's. His friends Cody and Jazzman {married couple} ate with us. I told Glen it was up to him what dinner was and he knew I'd be wanting Olga's lately so to make me happy, that's what he picked. {Isn't he the best?} Dinner was good... And since one of his friends mentioned it was his bday, he got a free dessert.

{I wouldn't suggest reaching for it though... He may stab you with a spoon.}

{It even said Happy B-Day on it, although by the time I took the pic you couldn't read DAY}

After dinner, all 4 of us headed to Baxter's to meet another couple for some pool and a few drinks. I royally sucked at pool... I normally do, but no biggie. We all had a good time. Right before midnight, we all headed our separate ways and we went home. Although, Glen's bday present didn't end when we got home... I'll leave that to your imagination though. :-P

Saturday: We didn't get to bed til after 2 am and we were already up by 8 am! We both suck at sleeping in. On Saturday, we were going with his mom, sister, niece, nephew, and Zoie to his mom's cousin's house out in the country to have a good time. We got ready and headed to his sister's house to pick up Zoie and to follow his mom out to her cousin's house. Oh, I am soooo envious of her house! It's practically Glen and I's dream house. {When Glen and I first met, our idea of a dream home was practically 100% the same!} The kids got to ride around on the kiddie four-wheelers {battery powered ones}, we also got to take out their little dune buggy. Also, in their basement they had a bar {birthday celebrations for Glen were continuing}, pool table, Penny slot games, air hockey... Yeah, the kids were having a blast! Katie {Glen's sister} had brought their dog with them, Peaches... And I think Peaches was having a better time then the kids... Peaches eventually found a frog and decided she wanted to play with that.

{It's crazy how gentle she was with it, she would lightly paw at it, to get it to jump.}

Anyways...We got there about lunch time and didn't head home til after 9 pm. When we got home, we all crashed.

Sunday: Lazy day! When I woke up, I could tell my nose had been draining all night. I felt horrible. Zoie didn't sound the best either, but she had the cold for several days now. Glen made us some breakfast sandwiches and we relaxed, watched tv, did a few chores, and was just all around lazy. At one point, the meds I had taken were starting to make me drowsy and since Zo was already napping, Glen told me to take a nap and he would run to walmart and get the things we needed. By the time he got back, a little over an hour later, I felt good! We ate left overs for dinner and did the same thing... watch tv and relaxed. By 9, I was putting Zo to bed and Glen & I passed out shortly after!

Now... Well, I still feel icky. I wanted to call off work sooo badly, but I need the money and I am forcing myself to stay the rest of the day. Worse case, I'll go home if I feel THAT bad... But so far so good. Hope y'all had a great weekend!

Happy late B-Day to Glen! I hope you feel better. I'm feeling sick today too, so I feel your pain.
