The Escape Artist

For those of you who KNOW me... Know that I complain about my boss ALL the time. But don't get me wrong, I love my job, it's soooo easy and there are many reasons why I stick around even with all the complaining. And you are about to meet one of them.

Meet Raymon, aka Ray Bird.

He is ONE of my boss's birds. There are two birds that live here at the office. This one is Ray Bird. He is an African Grey and is incredibly smart... And creeps me out how much he can sound like ME when he mimics things I say. Every once in a while him and I have a "clucking battle", we just cluck like chickens back and forth. Anyways... On the the reason of this post. Ray Bird is an ESCAPE ARTIST. He is always getting out of his cage somehow. Luckily for me Ray Bird likes me and always comes to visit me at my desk. Usually he walks around the floor trying to chew on things and stares at me hoping I'll pick him up. Honestly, most days I'm scared to try, cause I know bird bites HURT. But honestly if he WANTED to bite me, it would be really easy for him to, plus he'd act more aggressive towards me...

Well today.... Yes, oh today... he REALLY wanted me to pay attention to him. So you know what he tried to do? CLIMB UP MY CHAIR!

Here he is hanging from the thing that adjusts my chair height.

Of course when he did that, I proceeded to get up from my chair... Don't want him biting my butt... And took a picture!

This is him, trying to pull himself up from the bar to the seat of my chair.

By that time, I called for the boss and he scooped him up. I don't think this bird will stop til I give him more attention.... This is almost occurring daily. He looks at my chair like he wants to climb up it ALL the time but I usually can scoot it around and he will leave me be.

I am thankful I don't have to deal with too many ahole customers... or even coworkers for that matter... So I guess I have to settle for birds who want to climb up my chair. Until next time!
