Weekend Wrap Up x 2

Friday, Jan 13...

I got off of work an hour early so I was able to pick Zoie up at my mom's and then run home to prepare for my night of babysitting my friend's two kids. My friend's daughter is the same age as Zoie and I was also watching her 18 month old son. What cuties! Since my friend was going to a concert and then going out afterwards, the kiddos got to spend the night! And this was Zoie's FIRST sleep over at our house! Trust me, she has had PLENTY of sleep overs but this was our first time hosting one! Zoie was super stoked!

The night was easy. They all had McDonald's for dinner and played and played. Of course the girls didn't want Zareck (the lil boy) in Zoie's room, so I kept him occupied in the living room, watching some Sesame Street and playing. I forgot how much Sesame Street can be a saving grace when you have a child! lol

Eventually it was bed time. The girls slept in the living room and Zareck in his pack-n-play. My friend did come pick Zareck up about 1:30 since he had to go to his dad's in the morning.

The next morning, we all woke up, ate breakfast. The day went on as normal and I had Tazaia til after 5 when her mom got off of work. 

The rest of the weekend was normal and nothing exciting... 

So onto this weekend!

Friday

At work my boss and his mom were gone for a LONG time... Eventually his mom got back and she told me to go ahead and go home since the roads were getting bad. The plans that night was Zoie was supposed to go to the sock hop for girl scouts and Glen & I were going to hit up the gym. But since they roads were so bad, the sock hop got cancelled. So we spent the evening at home. BUT on the way home, I had a pretty good scare! After I picked up Zoie, we were headed to my house. I took the interstate... BAD idea. The exit for Wood River was AWFUL! I was going super slow... And I seen cars ahead of me slowing down, so I tried to slow down as well.... Ummmmm needless to say, I wasn't slowing down. My car was swerving and just sliding... I was freaked out that I was going to hit the cars in front of me... The only was I was able to slow down, was I started driving half way into the ditch. Lucky the grass slowed me down plenty and I was going 5 mph down the rest of the exit ramp... Which induced me into wanting a glass of wine when I got home and mama was going to have her wish!

Glen was cooking dinner when I got home, so while Zo and I waited, we worked on her homework.

 After dinner, we spent time in the living room, watching Monk. Glen & I were multitasking playing EQ and watching tv... Once Zoie finally fell asleep. We continued watching tv in our bedroom before heading to bed.

Saturday

We all slept in. Glen cooked us some amazing omelets! We also decided that we were going to grill... Well, Glen was going to grill and I was going to do the prep work for the food for dinner. We invited my sister, her husband, and my 2 nephews over to join us. They came over, we watched tv, ate lots of food, and had a good time!

Sunday

We all slept in, again! Glen slept longer then all of us. So while waiting on him to get up, I finished up laundry and hung out with Zoie in the living room. Once he was up, it was about time for lunch. We had a late lunch at Bread Co. And then later on in the evening we took Zoie to see the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. The rest of the night was the same as every night!.... We tried to take over the world... Okay more like our chore list but same thing!
