Tires, Tires, Tires!

Oh, I have the worst luck with tires on my car!
(There is SOME good news to this story, but it will come at the end)

Yesterday I got to enjoy a Mother-Daughter banquet with Zoie's girl scout troop.
Well when leaving the banquet, my low tire pressure light was on in my car.
Oh poop.
Well since I was close enough to my parent's house,
I stopped there and had my dad check to see which tire it was and air it up for me.
Woo hoo! Yay Dad!

Everything seemed fine... then I wake up this morning.
Getting ready to leave for work, get in my car... the damn light is on again.
Not a very good sign. I drove to my parents to drop Z off to get ready for school.
I look at my tire and it's going FLAT!
LOVELY
<insert eye roll>

So, I call my boss, cause I'm obviously going to be late for work.
First thing he says to me, "It's never good when you call me in the morning."
I let him know I'm going to be late because of my tire.
He was cool with it.

This was at about 7:40, so I was able to finish getting Zo ready for school.
When the tire shop opened, I called...
Luckily they had a USED tire that would fit (much much cheaper!)
But before I could leave my parents drive-way, I had to air up my tire.

Anyways, long story short I have a "new" tire for my car, only cost me $27!

But to get to the GOOD news of my story...
a couple months back, I had to replace BOTH my front tires.
Well when replacing the driver side tire, the guy informed
me I had a small dent on the inside of my rim.
So, if I felt any shaking, it was due to the rim.
Ugh, I was replacing my front tires to get my car to quit shaking,
now that meant I needed a NEW rim. Ugh.
And I have one word for you.

EXPENSIVE!
My car dealership wanted $300 for just the rim.
Not even what it'd cost for installing the darn thing!
I searched the internet, which wasn't nearly as bad but for the rim + shipping
it would have cost me $170, ugh just what I want to spend my money on!

So the good news to this story, apparently I don't need a new rim.
It's been my back tire the ENTIRE time!
Yeap, so the shaking I've been experiencing on the highway all this time
as been the dang tire in the back!
So when I got the new tire today, there was no more shaking!
Which is such a weird feeling for me, since I am so used to it now.
haha.
Sad, I know.

Anyways, hope you have better luck with tires!
And sorry for the lack of photos, but promise I'll make it up with my Wordless Wednesday post that I am currently editing the photos for! :)
