THE NEW YEAR

Ahhh, it's that time of year to reflect on everything that has happened
and what you would like to change for the NEW YEAR.

Can not believe that it's already 2013.... who would have thought
that 2012 would have flown by so quickly!

On the plus side, we all survived the "end of the world."
haha

So of course, with a new year everyone likes to talk about resolutions...
I really don't know why people are soooooo against making resolutions.
People just have to fight "the man" and be "different". Psssh, who cares?
Not that I take it super seriously but who doesn't want something to change?
With it being a new year, after all the hectic-ness of the Holidays, it's the perfect time!
(at least for me)

Here's my long long list! Not really in a certain order... But sort of.
(Some are more like "to do" rather than resolutions but still stuff I want done in 2013)

1) GET HEALTHIER  - this encompasses losing weight... But I don't just want to lose weight... I want to be HEALTHY. Eat better, exercise more and great thing about this, Glen is 100% on board with me! So much easier to do it when you have a partner to do it with you. Kind of hard to do better when the other person does not want to.

2) Dress to Impress - I'm in a slump. Doesn't help that I work in a "private" office and I can wear whatever I want, so I'm usually in jeans (at least not pajama pants) and a hoodie. But honestly, dressing better will help improve my self image, which will help me with goal #1.

3) Take Charge - I tend to be pretty passive most of the time. Which isn't always a problem BUT I really do need to take control, every once in awhile.

4) Cut Out Soda & Sugar - I was able to quit soda for a while last year because of the amount of calories but then I started drinking diet soda (horrible for you, I know). So now I'm cutting that out. Also, trying my best to get rid of my sweet tooth. Which is really hard, just don't yell at my if you happen to see me eat a candy bar. Lol.

5) Feel good about what I got done instead of feeling lousy about what I didn't.

6)  EAT BREAKFAST - Even growing up on school days, I never ate breakfast... Think it's about time I break that habit. Research shows that it boost your metabolism for the ENTIRE day. MUST. EAT. BREAKFAST!

7) Take more pictures - I used to ALWAYS always take pictures. Like way too many. But I've noticed for awhile now, I haven't been. Even on special occasions. (Zo's 6th bday party, I didn't take ONE picture, thank goodness my mom did) This MUST be fixed. (planning on buying myself a NICE camera come tax time, as long as I can keep up with this)

8) More art - I've always loved art, hell it's what I do every day for a living (although the "boring" side of it) I want to take more time and paint, draw, edit stuff... etc!

9) Read more - There are so many books out there I WANT to read but just haven't made the time for it. There are even a couple books I've started but haven't finished.

10) Decrease my debt - Some of it like my house and car, I'm not as concerned with at the moment, but I want to knock out my student loans and credit cards.

11) OFFICIALLY start my own business - It will start out small but I will do it... Which includes remaking my website and all that jazz.

12) Organize my house - There is A LOT of crap I really need to go through and decide what to do with it.

13) Get a new roof - I have some storm damage that needs to be taken care of. Already planning on getting more quotes (got some from that last big hail storm) but haven't done anything. Shame on me!

14) Remodel my bathroom - The bathroom is probably the saddest/ugliest room in the entire upstairs of the house. I got a new toilet shortly after I moved in... Already have a new sink that was a present from my parents last year... Just need tile, mirror, possible a new tub?? But it will get done!

15) Plant a garden - I have some random stuff around my house but it's been there since I moved in. I want to plant stuff that I can EAT and what not. I'll definitely be starting small with this one - first some indoor plants, before moving to the outdoors. BUT I will take better care of what it already outside.

16) BE HAPPY

Well, I really do have more on my list but don't think they'd happen THIS year but in the near future and I bet I'll even think of more to add to this list... But this is the majority.

So what's on your list?
