FINALLY! I have officially got my butt in gear and I am losing weight! Cool thing is, right now I'm not even really exercising. Just watching the amount of calories I eat and what I eat and let me tell you. I feel good!
So far, I have lost 11 lbs! ELEVEN. I have been using this amazing app called "Lose It!", to help me keep track of the calories I take in. I started using it the week of March 26th... The first week was the hardest, I still wasn't really eating healthy and didn't really keep track of everything I was eating cause it was hard! Then for a week or so, I didn't even keep track of what I was eating but I was eating slightly better. Just seeing the amount of calories that you take in eating fast food is just alarming. I probably wouldn't be as successful as I am without the app!
And the more I learn about what to eat and what not to eat, I will share with you! Not like the information isn't already out there all over the web but I will share what works for me and what doesn't. What tastes good, and what I think is AWFUL!
My first tip... DRINK WATER, I know you probably hear it all the time but DO IT. I have been drinking only water... And at least 64oz per day! It really isn't as hard as it sounds. Once you really cut out everything else, I have really only craved water which was a problem before cause I craved stuff that was really sugary and sugar turns into fat. Okay, can't say I have been drinking ONLY water, on occasion I have had some soda or sweet tea but I still drink the recommended amount of water per day.
But it feels good to feel good! Ha ha. If that makes any sense. Soon, I will start exercising on a regular basis. I am taking baby steps... Food first then exercise. If it was the opposite, eating bad food and exercising I almost don't see the point cause you would still feel like crap from eating awful food. For me, making huge radical changes too quickly sets me up for failure. The healthier I eat, the better I feel, the more likely I will be to actually exercise to speed up my weight loss even more.
I don't have a before/after pic ready just yet... but I will soon. It's always good to be able to see where you were and where you are now.
Hope you have a Happy Tuesday!
